In July 2020, Lake Ontario’s average surface water temperature was the warmest ever recorded. Since 1995, Lake Ontario has warmed on average over two degrees Celsius, which is more than any other Great Lake. Two degrees Celsius may not sound like much, but these averages can be misleading.
