The North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance (NSWA) is a non-profit, multi-stakeholder organization dedicated to promoting the health and sustainability of the North Saskatchewan River and its watershed in Alberta.
VISION
People working together for a healthy and functioning North Saskatchewan River watershed - today and tomorrow.
MISSION
To protect and improve water quality, water quantity (instream flow) and the health of our watershed by:
We improve water management through better practices, solutions, and technologies for the economic, environmental, and social benefit of current and future generations.
The WaterSMART team has unparalleled expertise and knowledge of water management practices, and includes engineers, environmental scientists, facilitators, communicators, and policy advisors. We come from diverse operational, entrepreneurial, and policy backgrounds and share a common vision and passion for improving water management in Alberta and around the globe.
Canadian Water Network is an independent non-profit with a purpose of getting communities closer to the future they want by accelerating, advancing and improving water management decisions.
We are motivated by the need for aligned and meaningful connections across the water sector and beyond, particularly other sectors with related and adjacent interests, to achieve progress on complex environmental, social and economic challenges.
Founded in 1985, Inside Education is Alberta’s largest environmental and natural resource education charity. Working from offices in Edmonton and Calgary, our mandate is to support K-12 school teachers across Alberta and inspire their students when it comes to working towards a balanced, sustainable future for our environment, economy, and society. If today’s students become informed and engaged leaders in tomorrow’s issues, who are able to make informed responsible decisions, we believe the world will be in good hands.
We support teachers and inspire students to better understand the science, technology, and issues related to our environment and natural resources.
We envision future generations of engaged stewards thinking critically about our environment
and natural resources, and their important relationship with our economy and society.
Seeded by a series of conversations, gatherings and studies on how to strengthen the water movement in Canada, Our Living Waters has developed into a thriving Network. Together, the Network drives collaboration and unites voices, while providing a common basis to measure progress toward our ambitious goal: all waters in Canada in good health by 2030.
No organization, no matter how large or well funded, can protect the waters alone. We need to work together!
Our Living Waters exists to amplify the influence and impact of the many, diverse organizations that make up the water community in Canada.
We provide Canadian educational resources on water practices to promote conservation and sustainability. Our team crafts current and relevant content, while encouraging feedback and engagement.
