Learn

At the Canada WaterPortal, our goal is for visitors to learn about the value of water as a vital resource by providing objective information to enable better water practices for the environmental, economic, and social benefit of all.
This ‘Learn’ section of our site hosts hundreds of water focused education pages. The ‘Learn’ menu above guides navigation through this largest section of our site.

First we have the ‘Water 101’ category, where visitors can learn the basics of water quality and quantity topics. Upon selecting a topic under the ‘Water 101’ category, each landing page will offer a variety of page collections for visitors to dive into a given topic. The menus on the right side of the screen help to navigate between pages within a topic.

The ‘WaterPortal Projects’ category showcases specific topics for which we have developed online content, tools, and activities. The content found in this section of the learn menu, builds on the foundational knowledge introduced in ‘Water 101’.

The ‘External Projects’ category highlights notable projects and research involving water in Canada. The majority of this content is produced by other authoritative organizations.
