[Workshop, Quebec] Process-based approaches to stream temperature modelling

October 16, 2025 @ 8:30 am MDT - October 17, 2025 @ 4:00 pm MDT

This two-day workshop brings together researchers and practitioners working with process-based stream temperature models to explore heat exchange processes, model parameterization, implementation challenges, and emerging issues in the field.

Unlike conventional conferences, the event prioritizes collaborative dialogue, problem solving, and shared learning. Structured sessions and plenary discussions will culminate in a co-authored paper to help shape future research directions in stream temperature modelling.

Guest speakers include Prof. Christa Kelleher (Lafayette College) and Prof. Barret Kurylyk (Dalhousie University). The workshop is organized by a scientific committee of experts from institutions across Canada.

Key themes:

  • Heat exchange processes and parameterization

  • Shared problems in model implementation

  • Emerging challenges and opportunities

Important Dates:

  • Registration & abstract submission open: June 16, 2025

  • Abstract deadline: August 29, 2025

  • Registration closes: October 3, 2025
