World Water Week 2025 will take place from August 24–28 under the theme “Water for Climate Action.” Organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), this global conference brings together policymakers, researchers, Indigenous leaders, NGOs, and water professionals to address the urgent links between water, climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation.
Held annually since 1991, World Water Week is the leading international platform for advancing water-related solutions, with over 500 contributing organizations and participants from more than 190 countries. The program includes keynote sessions, workshops, and exhibitions, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and action.
If you’re based in Canada, online attendance is free, making it an accessible opportunity to engage with global water and climate issues, connect with international partners, and explore new tools and research shaping the future of water governance.
