Groundwater
A group of local residents are taking legal action over firefighting foam containing PFAS seeping into local groundwater near the St. John’s Airport. Firefighting training took place at the airport from the 1980s into the 2000s. Foam containing the “forever chemicals” was used extensively during the training. Click here to read the story.
